Give 'Em Hell Harry, by Samuel Gallu

Gary E. Mitchell stars in this one-man show about the life of our 33rd President, Harry S. Truman. Written and premiered in 1975, just after the Nixon scandal and resignation, this play about the indomitably progressive Truman is surprisingly relevant again in our current political climate. The play offers a refreshing view of a man who thought of public service as an honorable undertaking and a noble calling. Directed by Mary Beth Quillin. Contains strong language.
Grand Rapids, MI audiences say:
"Congrats to Gary E. Mitchell (and director Mary Beth Quillin on an outstanding production. Gary carries this two-act show completely by himself...and I TOTALLY believed in his portrayal of Harry Truman. Gave me new-found respect for our 33rd President, whose attitude toward the presidency and wise words of wisdom are desperately needed again." G.M. Bud Thompson, playwright, director, and actor.
"It is an excellent show and Gary is terrific as Truman. Well staged, well directed, well acted. Funny, provocative and at times prophetic, if you are looking for a sure thing in high quality theatre, go see Give 'Em Hell, Harry!" Rosanne Steffens, director, educator, stage manager, and actor.
"...an incredible performance...one of the best I have ever seen." Jon March, actor.
